Il punto è che a volte sono un po lento e devo essere sicuro al 100% di qualcosa prima di poter affermare con certezza "Sì, è quel tal fenomeno".
Se non ho chiare tutte le possibili variabili continuo ad indagare. Peggio del tenente Colombo ......Splende in un luogo oscuro...

Lo chiedo qui per non aprire una nuova discussione: come si fa a controllare se ho visto un Iridium flare? (06/09/16 ore 23.45 circa, più o meno verso NO). Grazie.

Vai indietro per periodo, poi puoi visualizzare una mappa sui link orari e valuti il transito basandoti sulle costellazioni che apparentemente vengono attraversate, se hai riferimenti in questo senso...

The prediction of Iridium flares is only possible in case the satellite is still controlled. There are already several satellites, that are out of control and not used for predictions. Hence it happens by accident, that the mirroring antennas are in the right geometry with you and still produce a show. Actually, this presentation is even more striking, since it consists of a periodic series of dazzling flashes. Inbetween, you can track the satellite with binoculars. CalSky predicts the opportunities of the show of the tumbling Iridiums. Each of the tumling Iridiums has its own characteristic flashing pattern - some with a period of only 1 seconds, where others flash every 40 seconds.
You find the transit times of these satellites on this page: wait and try to estimate the flashing period.
